The 6th Global AEO Conference opens in Shenzhen

On May 8th, the 6th Global Certified Operators (AEO) Conference, hosted by the World Customs Organization and jointly organized by the General Administration of Customs and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, opened in Shenzhen.

The theme of the conference is "Leveraging the advantages of the AEO system to promote inclusive and sustainable global trade". This conference will last for 3 days, including the opening ceremony, 8 plenary sessions, 6 group discussions, 4 keynote speeches, knowledge quizzes, and VIP tours. More than 1200 representatives from government departments, international organizations, the business community, and academia from over 100 countries and regions participated in the meeting to jointly exchange and discuss relevant issues.
On that day, Wang Lingjun, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs, met with Edward, President of the Council of the World Customs Organization and Director of the South African Taxation Agency, Bashar Adnyi, Director of the Nigerian Customs Agency, and Sanders, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization. Sun Yuning, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs, met with Peter Bakai, Director of the Hungarian Customs Agency, He Peishan, Director of Hong Kong Customs, and Huang Wenzhong, Director of Macau Customs. Li Kuiwen, member of the Party Committee of the General Administration of Customs and Director of the Guangdong Branch, met with Tim Fitzgerald, Deputy Director of the Australian Border Enforcement Agency, and Richard Bach, Deputy Director of the New Zealand Customs Agency.
