Ren Hongbin leads a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Australia

From April 14th to 17th, Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China International Chamber of Commerce, led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Australia. They attended the China Australia Business Seminar and the 2nd China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo Australia Roadshow jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Australia China Business Council, and delivered speeches. They witnessed the signing of the Letter of Intent for the 2nd Chain Expo between China Exhibition Group and four Australian enterprises, as well as the signing of multiple cooperation agreements between relevant directly affiliated units of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, local trade associations, and Australian counterparts.


During his visit, Ren Hongbin had extensive exchanges with people from all walks of life in Australian politics and business. He met with Governor Beazley of New South Wales, CEO of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Suo Weiya, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, Koval, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Qiang Tiwan, Minister of Industry and Trade of New State, Shen Wen, National Chairman of the Australia China Industry and Commerce Commission, CEO of the Australian Business Council, Blake, Chairman of the Export Council, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mike Keller, CEO of Rio Tinto Group Australia, Parker, and President of the Australia China Relations Research Institute, focusing on China's high-quality development to promote Chinese path to modernization and persist in promoting high-level opening up On the situation, the Chinese and Australian business communities gathered consensus on cooperation, exchanged in-depth views on expanding cooperation potential in green development, digital economy, scientific and technological innovation, health industry and other emerging fields, and held discussions with Chinese enterprises in Australia.


This visit is the largest Chinese economic and trade delegation to Australia in recent years. The delegation includes more than 90 representatives from relevant departments of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, local and industry trade promotion associations, and Chinese enterprises. During this period, enterprises and institutions from China and Australia conducted more than 100 business negotiations, exchanges, and promotion activities, and reached a total intention to cooperate of over 5 billion yuan.
