Australia updates the import conditions for candy for human consumption

On February 21, 2024, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry changed the import conditions for candies intended for human consumption: Candies must meet the following import conditions:

(1) The following information must be provided on the manufacturer's declaration or food label: proof that the product contains less than 10% dairy products and less than 10% eggs; Prove that the product does not contain meat or meat ingredients;
(2) The product must be solid and have the same consistency (such as toffee, hard candy, mint sugar, marshmallow, licorice sugar, etc.).
This revision will take effect from February 21, 2024.
