The 7th China (Lianyungang) Silk Road International Logistics Expo will be held from October 18th to 20th at the Industrial Exhibition Center of Lianyungang City. On October 13th, Lianyungang City held a press conference and announced relevant news.

The theme of this year's Silk Road Expo is "Building a New Eurasian Land Sea Intermodal Transport Corridor and Promoting a New Pattern of Dual Circular Economy Development". The exhibition consists of six exhibition areas, with a total area of 37000 square meters, including 5000 square meters of outdoor space. Special events include opening ceremonies, professional forums, and themed supporting activities.
Professional forums specifically include the 2021 China International Freight Forwarding Logistics Development Forum and the China International Freight Forwarding Logistics Industry Development Blue Book (2020) press conference, the China International Freight Forwarding Logistics 100+Enterprise Matchmaking Trade Fair, the New Asia Europe Land Sea Intermodal Transport Corridor Free Trade Pilot Zone Co construction Alliance Establishment Conference and the Free Trade Pilot Zone Innovation and Development Summit Forum, The 5th Global Trade and Container Transport Conference and the 10th Anniversary Seminar of the Promotion of "Container Rail Water Combined Transport", China (Jiangsu) Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Forum, Lianyungang Caspian Sea "the Belt and Road" Supply Chain Base Cooperation Forum, "the Belt and Road" Youth Development Forum, and Lianyungang Cross border E-commerce Innovation and Development Summit Forum. Thematic supporting activities include the 2021 "the Belt and Road" China (Lianyungang) Fifth Catering Culture Expo, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the exhibition of achievements, and the "the Belt and Road" themed art, calligraphy and photography exhibition. This year's Silk Road Expo will continue to set up public open days from the afternoon of October 18th to October 20th.

Since 2014, Lianyungang City has successfully held six consecutive China (Lianyungang) Silk Road International Logistics Expo. The Silk Road Expo has become a landmark international exhibition with specialization, branding, informatization, and internationalization along the domestic Silk Road Economic Belt. The theme of this year's Silk Road Expo is "Jointly Building a New Eurasian Land Sea Intermodal Transport Corridor and Promoting a New Pattern of Dual Circular Economy Development". It will showcase the achievements of Party history learning and education, further expand the exhibition scale, strengthen the application of technology, and upgrade the exhibition experience.

It is understood that this Silk Road International Expo consists of the opening ceremony and the industrial investment conference, seven professional forums and three supporting theme activities. The exhibition area is divided into six exhibition areas, including the theme exhibition area of the achievements of the construction of the New Eurasian Continental Bridge Economic Cooperation Corridor, the professional exhibition area of intelligent logistics technology equipment and comprehensive logistics services, the characteristic exhibition area of the construction of the "the Belt and Road" intersection, the "the Belt and Road" trade logistics and cross-border e-commerce exhibition area. At present, the investment and exhibition work of the 7th Silk Road Expo has been fully completed, with a total of 450 enterprises from 22 countries and regions participating.
The Silk Road International Expo is a "window" to show the latest development trend of Lianyungang, such as its location and transportation advantages, strategic positioning, and leading industries. For several years in a row, our city has fully amplified the comprehensive effect of the exhibition, effectively improved the economic and trade results of the exhibition, and invited well-known enterprises at home and abroad to visit and negotiate. The landing of projects has helped our city create a strong fulcrum and strategic link in serving the "the Belt and Road" cooperation initiative and building a new development pattern.

In recent years, the three-dimensional transportation and logistics system of sea, land, and air in Lianyungang City has been basically formed. The port has become one of the 11 international hub seaports in China, with a 300000 ton deep-water waterway and professional berths, and has established navigation relationships with ports in more than 150 countries and regions. The highway is one of the 45 main hubs in national planning and construction. Four high-speed railways, including Lianqing, Lianyan, Xulian, and Lianhuaiyang towns, have been successively opened within the country, achieving a fast high-speed rail transportation pattern of direct access to Beijing in the north, rapid access to Shanghai and Nanjing in the south, and high-speed access to cities along the land bridge in the west. Huaguoshan International Airport is about to be officially put into operation and will become the third largest international airport in Jiangsu Province. At the same time, the city has always adhered to the core strategy of "establishing the city through industry, strengthening the city through industry, and revitalizing the city through ports", promoted the layout of port industries, solidly promoted the construction of national petrochemical industry bases and "China Pharmaceutical Port", achieved innovative breakthroughs in new medicine, new energy, new materials, and other fields, and basically formed characteristic industrial clusters led by petrochemicals and "three new and one high". A vibrant coastal industry new highland is quietly rising. The convenient transportation advantage and clear strategic positioning have brought about the landing of industrial projects, and the competitive leading industry has also led many upstream and downstream industrial chain projects to gather in our city. The Yinhao New Energy Technology Park under construction is a supporting innovative new energy product manufacturing and production base and research and development center that relies on the introduction of major industries such as wind power, photovoltaics, and petrochemicals in our city.
Focusing on its geographical and transportation advantages, strategic positioning, and leading industries, the Silk Road Expo has held six consecutive economic and trade cooperation promotion events, with a total of 231 signed projects. A batch of projects, including the COSCO Shipping LNG Pressure Vessel Manufacturing Project, have been put into operation and have achieved results. It has attracted more than 100 countries and regions, 348 overseas institutions, more than 2240 exhibitors, and more than 10700 domestic and foreign guests to attend. This year, our city has formulated a targeted investment docking plan, inviting 300 representatives from various professional forums and exhibitors to participate, laying the foundation for project cooperation between the two sides. Multiple projects, including the Guanyun County Smart Bonded Logistics Park, the Guannan County Lightweight Intelligent Trailer Project, and the International Cold Chain Processing and Trading Industrial Park in the Municipal Development Zone, are intensifying their integration and are expected to be officially signed during the exhibition.
